Job description

Responsibilities
  • Screens and evaluates the communication and feeding/swallowing skills of preschoolers as per ASHA guidelines during intake evaluations, screenings, and annual review evaluations.
  • Develops and implements therapy programs based upon child’s individual needs, in accord with school philosophy, utilizing state‑of‑the‑art techniques.
  • Participates in all aspects of the interdisciplinary treatment team, including formal and informal meetings and consultations.
  • Maintains and submits clinical documentation (evaluation and screening reports, daily log notes, monthly or bi‑monthly notes, IEP documentation) within required time frames.
  • Participates in department, supervisory, staff, team, and module meetings.
  • Functions as a child advocate internally and for outside meetings.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of classroom programs such as language lessons and group communication programs.
  • Maintains appropriate interpersonal relationships with team members, other staff, supervisors, administrative staff, parents, and outside agencies, demonstrating skills such as open communication, self‑evaluation, utilisation of supervision, flexibility, and willingness to offer or accept assistance.
