Job summary

Software Placement Group is assisting a community hospital near Columbus, Ohio in recruiting a Speech Therapist for a full-time, on-site position. The outpatient schedule runs 8:00 am–5:30 pm and pediatrics days may run 8:00 am–6:00 pm, with a day off on Tue, Wed, or Thu.

Compensation is $36–$42 per hour, depending on experience, with a full benefits package and a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Pathology.
• Current State of Ohio Licensure.
• Ability to work variable days and hours as needed.
• Current CPR Certified.

Responsibilities

• Provide screening, evaluation, and therapeutic interventions to patients.
• Develop treatment plans and implement care per doctor referral.
• Work with patients of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds.
• Demonstrate critical thinking to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and departmental information.
• Conduct evaluations (approximately 1 hour each).
• For Adult caseload: see 8-9 patients daily, with treatments ranging from 30-45 minutes.
• For Pediatrics caseload: see 8-10 patients daily, with treatments ranging from 30-45 minutes, including significant co-treatment with Occupational Therapy.
• Work with a wide variety of diagnoses given the community hospital setting.

Compensation and benefits

• Positions are full time
• Outpatient schedule: 8am-5:30pm
• Pediatrics schedule: 8am-6pm (many Peds therapists work 4-10 hour days), with a day off on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday
• Pay range: $36hr($74,880 annually, roughly comparable to a $30,000-$45,000 base range for part-time equivalents)-$42hr($87,360 annually) depending on experience
