Executive Director at Huntingdon County PRIDE

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Position

Full-Time or Part-Time | Huntingdon County, PA

About RAISEtown Care Connect

RAISEtown Care Connect, formerly known as Huntingdon County PRIDE, is a nonprofit organization with over 50 years of experience supporting individuals with disabilities in the Huntingdon and Raystown region. Our mission is to raise the quality of life for community members by connecting them with compassionate, accessible services and resources that promote independence, dignity, and empowerment. As a trusted provider of Early Intervention, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and durable medical equipment loan services, we are committed to meeting individuals where they are — in their homes, schools, and communities.

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our experienced and close-knit team. This position offers flexibility with full-time or part-time options and the opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and adults with communication needs.

Position Summary

As a Speech-Language Pathologist with RAISEtown Care Connect, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and providing therapy services to individuals across the lifespan with a range of speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. While this position has a strong emphasis on Early Intervention services (ages 0–3), you will also have the opportunity to work with school-aged children and adults through our community programs. This is a unique opportunity to practice in a highly collaborative and supportive environment where your clinical skills will have a direct impact on improving communication and quality of life for our clients.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to determine diagnosis and appropriate interventions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients based on their unique needs, strengths, and goals
  • Provide therapy services in a variety of settings, including homes, schools, and in-office sessions
  • Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation of services in compliance with agency and funding requirements
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, including IFSP/IEP meetings, as needed
  • Educate and support families and caregivers to carry over strategies and reinforce progress at home
  • Collaborate with community partners, school personnel, healthcare providers, and service coordinators to ensure coordinated care
  • Maintain appropriate licensure and certification requirements as outlined by the state of Pennsylvania and ASHA
  • Stay current with professional best practices and continuing education in the field of speech-language pathology
  • Contribute to program development, advocacy, and public awareness initiatives for communication health

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university
  • Valid Pennsylvania state license to practice as an SLP
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Experience with pediatric and/or Early Intervention populations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Commitment to family-centered care and collaborative practice
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a nonprofit or community-based setting
  • Familiarity with Early Intervention documentation systems and protocols
  • Understanding of IDEA, IEP, and 504 Plan processes
  • CPR/First Aid certification
