Job summary

Memorial Physician Practices is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) IRF in Edwardsville, Illinois. As an SLP, you will perform assessments, educate patients and families, and design treatment plans. The role requires strong qualifications in Speech-Language Pathology and current Basic Life Support certification.

Job Type: PRN

Hourly Wage: $55 per hour

How you'll contribute

• Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient’s condition.
• Designs and implements a plan of care appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient and family.
• Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress.
• Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services.
• Supervises activities of clinical fellows, students, and other support personnel.

Qualifications and requirements

• A Bachelor's and Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a similarly titled area acceptable to ASHA.
• Possess or be eligible for an ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence or be eligible for ASHA Clinical Fellow (CFY).
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in state.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
