Job summary

UMC Health System seeks a Speech Pathologist I to evaluate, plan care, treat, and diagnose patients referred to PM&R. The role requires mastery of evaluation and treatment techniques across age groups, thorough documentation and billing, and involvement in clinical education for SLP students.

Applicants must hold a master’s in Speech Language Pathology and pursue Texas licensure or intern licensure, with CCC-SLP within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
• Must obtain Texas State License or Intern License if in Clinical Fellowship year.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan care, treat, and diagnose patients referred to PM&R.
• Complete documentation and billing for Speech Therapy services.
• Act as CI for SLP students and participate in clinical education.
• Be competent across assigned PM&R specialty areas as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
