Job summary

Christiana Care Health System in Delaware is seeking a per diem Speech Language Pathologist to join our Rehabilitation Team. You will work a minimum of two weekend days per month, with additional weekday shifts as available.

You will assess and treat adults with communication and swallowing disorders in inpatient acute and rehabilitation settings, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to provide patient- and family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure in Delaware required.
• CCC or CF Certification required or preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations.
• Develop and implement treatment programs with family-specific goals and time frames.
• Provide patient and family education and training.

ChristianaCare is recruiting for a per diem Speech Language Pathologist to work a minimum of two weekend days per month. Availability to work one to three additional weekday shifts per week and/or weekend shifts as available is highly desired. In this position, you will assess and treat adults with communication and swallowing disorders in inpatient acute and rehabilitation settings. With an emphasis on patient-family centered care, we specialize in a variety of services with a dynamic interdisciplinary/trans-disciplinary team approach.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations
• Develop and implement appropriate treatment programs to include family specific goals and time frames
• Provide patient and family education and training

Education and experience requirements

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or CF Certification
• CPR Certification
• Acute care experience preferred

This is a flat rate position. Any individual hired into this position will be paid $59.00/hour plus any applicable differentials. This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
