Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital, a partner of Washington Regional, is seeking a Speech Pathologist to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech and language disorders within an inpatient rehabilitation setting. You will develop and implement personalized treatment plans, monitor progress, and adapt interventions to improve communication outcomes.

The role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, compassionate care, and adherence to AHA/ASHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CCC certification (ASHA) required/eligible.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Master’s degree preferred, or Bachelor’s degree with field experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, assess, develop, and administer personalized treatment plans for patients with speech and language rehabilitation needs.
• Identify issues and modify speech therapy treatment as necessary.
• Track and document patient performance, progress, and response to treatment.
• Celebrate patient victories along the way.
