Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine in Milford Mill is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in Pediatrics-Acute Care to provide comprehensive evaluation, treatment planning, and therapy activities for pediatric inpatients. You will document progress and educate patients, families, staff and students, contributing to high-quality care.

The role is full-time (40 hours weekly), dayshift, Monday–Friday, with opportunities for professional growth within a nationally recognized health system.

Qualifications

• Infant feeding/swallowing experience required.
• Acute care experience preferred.

• Provides evaluation, program planning and treatment referred to Speech Language Pathology.
• Provides assessments and treatment activities with patients.

The Speech Language Pathologist specializing in Pediatrics-Acute Care:

• Provides evaluation, program planning and treatment referred to Speech Language Pathology.
• The job duties are to provide assessments and treatment activities with patients.
• Provides documentation of the above and education to patients, families, hospital staff, and students.
• Ensures that all patients are supported in reaching their maximum potential through high-quality care and contributions to medical management provided by the Speech-Language Pathologist, while also promoting the therapist’s ongoing professional growth and contributions to the medical center.

Shift: Full time- 40 hours per week- Dayshift- Monday -Friday

Work Experience

• Successful completion of Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellowship
• Infant feeding/swallowing experience required.
• Acute care experience preferred.

Education:

Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current State licensure as Speech Language Pathologist required
• Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association preferred.
• Current CPR certification.

Salary Range:

Minimum $34.62/hour - Maximum $57.19/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
