Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine in Maryland is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in Pediatrics-Acute Care to join our hospital-based team. You will perform evaluations, plan and implement treatment, document progress, and educate patients, families, staff, and students while supporting maximum patient potential.

The position is full-time, dayshift, with primary responsibilities in acute care, requiring infant feeding/swallowing experience and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist;

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current state licensure as Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) from ASHA preferred.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides evaluation, program planning and treatment referred to Speech Language Pathology.
• Performs assessments and treatment activities with patients.
• Documents above and educates patients, families, hospital staff, and students.
• Ensures patients reach maximum potential through high-quality care and contributions to medical management.

The Speech Language Pathologist specializing in Pediatrics-Acute Care:

• Provides evaluation, program planning and treatment referred to Speech Language Pathology.
• The job duties are to provide assessments and treatment activities with patients.
• Provides documentation of the above and education to patients, families, hospital staff, and students.
• Ensures that all patients are supported in reaching their maximum potential through high-quality care and contributions to medical management provided by the Speech-Language Pathologist, while also promoting the therapist’s ongoing professional growth and contributions to the medical center.

Shift: Full time- 40 hours per week- Dayshift- Monday -Friday

Work Experience

• Successful completion of Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellowship
• Infant feeding/swallowing experience required.
• Acute care experience preferred.

Education:

Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current State licensure as Speech Language Pathologist required
• Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association preferred.
• Current CPR certification.

Salary Range:

Minimum $34.62/hour - Maximum $57.19/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
