Qualifications

• Licensed Speech Pathologist in California (or eligible for licensure).
• 0–6 months experience in speech pathology; 1–2 years preferred.
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, plan, provide quality therapy treatments that meet each patient’s individual needs and are medically prescribed and necessary, using the standards of professional practice.
• Exercises independent judgment for clinical decision-making and prepares all documentation required to support all aspects of patient care provided.
• Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position.
• Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards.
