UPMC in Everett, PA is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat a range of communication and swallowing disorders. The role includes preparing diagnostic reports, delivering diagnostic and treatment services, and coordinating evaluation and treatment programs for clients.
The position requires a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology and licensure/certifications such as CCC-SLP, CPR/BLS, Act 34, and OAPSA.
The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats a variety of communication/swallowing disorders but is not limited to aphasia, voice, speech/language, closed head injury deficits (cognitive, linguistic, memory, attention), fluency (including stuttering), aural rehabilitation, non-verbal (augmentative communication), oral and pharyngeal stage of swallowing.
Responsibilities:
Prepare diagnostic and evaluative reports with recommendations for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology services.
Maintain compliance with all competency requirements for regulatory and accrediting agencies, and health care provider prerequisites.
Provide diagnostic and treatment services for clients referred for Speech-Language Pathology.
Attend and participate actively in staff meetings, development, committees, and in-service education.
Adhere to organizational policies, including the Corporate Compliance Program and HIPAA regulations.
Maintain confidentiality and accurate professional records for all patients.
Deliver excellent customer service with a positive attitude towards the public and colleagues.
Compile and report data for the financial, statistical, and administrative needs of the programs.
Coordinate the evaluation, scheduling, and treatment programs for clients.
Achieve and maintain productivity standards and pursue professional growth aligned with the organization's mission.

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology with specific course work and clinical practice in all previously mentioned areas within the scope of practice is required.
Must have good communication and interpersonal skills
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
