Exalt Health Rehabilitation Hospital Wildwood LLC seeks a Speech Therapist to join its interdisciplinary team, evaluating and treating patients with communication, swallowing, and cognitive disorders while developing individualized plans and delivering therapy in both individual and group sessions.

You will educate patients and families, contribute to discharge planning, and apply evidence-based practices in a fast-paced rehab setting, requiring current licensure and ASHA CCC where possible.

Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered license to practice Speech Therapy in the state.
  • Current BLS certification via the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (required).
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university program.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • 2 years of Inpatient Rehabilitation experience (preferred).
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in documentation and medical record keeping.
  • Strong understanding of current trends and best practices in rehabilitation medicine.

Responsibilities

Description

Position Summary

As a Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in our interdisciplinary team, helping patients recover from a variety of medical conditions that impact communication, swallowing, and cognitive function. You will conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapy sessions to improve patients' abilities. You will also educate patients and their families on self-management techniques to ensure continued progress after discharge.
