Job summary

Sevita’s NeuroRestorative division seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide therapy in an adult post-acute rehab setting. The role includes patient assessment, treatment planning, and collaboration with an interprofessional team.

You will participate in program development, pursue professional certifications, and support family education while working in a nationwide network of care.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Must be licensed by the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks.
  • Effective communication skills to manage relationships.
  • A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality speech-language therapy services in our adult post-acute residential rehabilitation program.
  • Assess speech and language skills, cognitive skills, and voice and fluency disorders in adults with brain injuries.
  • Direct and administer speech therapy using rehabilitation techniques.
  • Review medical records, test and evaluate individuals, and develop therapy plans.
  • Identify and develop intervention strategies.
  • Instruct clients, families, and caregivers to maintain or achieve optimal functioning.
  • Coordinate home and community reintegration and participate in team meetings and program development.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure program effectiveness.

Job description

NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans.

  • On Site CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) supervision if needed
  • Monday-Friday some flex start/stop times
  • Salary Depending On Experience
  • Full-time with benefits - either 40 hours or 32 hours (you choose)
  • 15 vacation days 7 sick days, 8 holidays, 2 floating/personal days
  • Sign on bonus $5,000

Responsibilities
  • Provide quality speech-language therapy services in our adult post-acute residential rehabilitation program.
  • Assess speech and language skills, cognitive skills, and voice and fluency disorders with our adult individuals with traumatic and/or acquired brain injuries.
  • Direct and administer speech therapy using techniques that assist in the rehabilitation of individuals with functional disabilities of speech, language, cognition, voice, and swallowing.
  • Review medical records, test and evaluate individuals served and develop therapy treatment plans.
  • Identify and develop intervention strategies.
  • Instruct individuals we serve, family members, and primary caregivers to insure the maintenance of or to achieve the ideal functioning level for each person served.
  • Ensure effective coordination of individual’s served home and community re-integration.
  • Serve on an interprofessional rehabilitation team, participate in team meetings, attend professional conferences, participate in project teams for program development and growth, and engage with the company’s nationwide network.
  • Collaborate with our physicians, professionals/paraprofessionals, consultants, families, and community resources to ensure effectiveness of our occupational therapy program.
