Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Speech and Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
• Valid Assistant in Speech-Language Pathology license (TDLR) required.
• Knowledge of federal and state laws and guidelines for therapy services.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills (email, calendar, documentation)
• Ability to concentrate on detailed work.
• Ability to communicate with a wide variety of district personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy to students under licensed supervision.
• Plan and implement therapy aligned with IEP goals.
• Monitor student progress and readiness for termination of therapy services.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate language activities in classroom settings.
• Attend regular speech therapy meetings and maintain required records.
• Comply with federal/state policies and district regulations for speech-language services.
• Assist in selecting materials and creating a conducive learning environment.
• Maintain knowledge of TEKS and support campus staff development as needed.
• Complete duties within required timelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
