Job summary

Young World Physical Education is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to provide services under the supervision of a licensed professional in San Antonio, Texas. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in communicative science and disorders and Texas licensure as a Speech-Language Assistant, along with strong assessment and communication skills.

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary ranging from $62,888 to $87,740 annually.

Qualifications

• 50 hours of clinical experience and observation.
• Professional relationship with supervisors, colleagues, students, parents, and community members.
• Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Implement the treatment program or Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) designed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Consult with colleagues, students, and parents regarding the accomplishment of therapy goals.
• Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the maturity level and interests of students.

Skills

Ability to use accepted tests and measurements to assess communication disorders and conditions

Knowledge of evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of speech-language disorders

Ability to instruct and manage student behavior

Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in communicative science and disorders; Texas licensure as Speech-Language Assistant
