Job summary

Nassau BOCES seeks a Speech Teacher Leave Replacement to support students within the Department of Special Education. The position covers evaluations and direct speech services aligned with IEP mandates.

You will maintain records and notes, coordinate with teachers, parents, and component school districts, and contribute to a collaborative educational team dedicated to student success. NYSED certification and licensure are required or preferred depending on eligibility.

Qualifications

• Certification in Speech and Language Pathology per NYSED standards.
• ASHA CCC and NYS SLP license preferred.
• Experience with autism and/or emotional and behavioral disorders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech and language re-evaluations for students.
• Deliver individual and group speech services per IEP mandates.
• Maintain records, session notes, and Medicaid documents.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school districts.
