Job summary

Augustana College invites applications for a 12-month speech-language pathology clinical supervisor faculty position in the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department beginning August 2026. The role centers on mentoring undergraduate and graduate students during their clinical experiences and participating in program activities.

Responsibilities include supervising students, attending staff meetings, assisting with recruitment, writing recommendations, and advising graduate students;

Qualifications

• Master’s or clinical doctorate in speech-language pathology; ASHA certification; IL licensure or eligibility.
• Demonstrated excellence in clinical service delivery and supervision; mentoring students in clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and supervise undergraduate and graduate CSD and SLP students during clinical experiences.
• Attend clinical staff meetings and participate in recruitment efforts.
• Write letters of recommendation for undergraduate CSD majors.
• Assist with comprehensive examination evaluations.
• Serve as an academic advisor and on the graduate student selection committee.
