Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant for a school-based role in Lillington, NC. You will support students by delivering speech and language services that directly impact communication and learning.

The position offers competitive pay up to $40/hour, W-2 employment with liability insurance, healthcare benefits, 401(k) with company match, licensure/CEU reimbursements, and mileage between sites. Equity and inclusion are emphasized in our workplace.

Qualifications

• Passing score on a competency test approved by the NC Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists is required.
• Registration as an SLPA with the NC Board is required.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.
• School-based experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Administers screening protocols.
• Administers therapeutic treatment protocols written by the speech-language pathologist.
• Communicates with students and other professionals to meet students' needs.
• Obtains case histories and completes observation checklists.
• Manages behavior using appropriate techniques.
• Summarizes and records target behaviors during therapy sessions.
