Job summary

AHMC HealthCare in Whittier, CA is seeking a speech-language pathologist to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive-communication disorders across inpatient and outpatient settings.

You will collaborate with the rehab team, document care plans, educate patients and families, and participate in conferences, with licensure in CA and CCC-SLP preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program.
• Current California license in Speech-Language Pathology and CCC-SLP certification.
• Two years of speech-language pathology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, swallowing, cognition disorders.
• Formulate and revise plans of care for speech, language, swallowing, and cognition across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Provide treatment and document progress clearly according to policies.
• Plan for discharge from speech pathology services for speech, language, and cognition and for swallowing.
• Educate patients, families and staff on impairments and discharged plans.
• Attend patient-care conferences and participate in multidisciplinary team planning.
