Job summary

Cayuga Health is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Clinician Fellow to perform comprehensive speech, language and swallowing assessments in an on-site setting at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility, Montour Falls, NY. You will develop care plans, implement treatment, and document patient progress while collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and eligibility for NY licensure; ASHA CCC-SLP preferred.
• Successful completion of accredited speech language pathology program including CCC-SLP.
• New York State licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing speech, language and swallowing assessments according to ASHA and NY standards.
• Develop and implement Plan of Care with short and long term goals, frequency and duration.
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding assessment findings, exercises and discharge planning.
• Document progress and communicate with providers to ensure patient-centered care.
• Supervise rehab aides in accordance with state guidelines.
