Job summary

Great Bay Staffing Group in Watkins Glen, NY, is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing and post-acute setting.

You will collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and rehab team, document progress, educate families, and supervise rehab aides while maintaining patient-centered care. Clinical Fellows are welcome; CCC-SLP preferred for experienced candidates.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• New York State SLP license or eligibility to practice.
• CCC-SLP preferred for experienced candidates.
• Clinical Fellows (SLP-CF) welcome to apply.
• Experience in skilled nursing or post-acute settings preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations for skilled nursing and post-acute patients.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable, patient-centered goals.
• Deliver skilled speech therapy based on physician referrals and ongoing patient needs.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment approaches as clinically appropriate.
• Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and outcomes accurately and on time.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and safety strategies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and rehabilitation team members to coordinate care.
• Supervise rehab aides in accordance with New York State guidelines.
• Stay current through continuing education and ongoing professional development.

Pay: $35.96–$50.08/hour | Full-Time, Days | Preferred 8:00 AM–4:30 PM | Rotating Weekend Coverage
