Job summary

TGH Rehabilitation Hospital in Tampa, FL is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a PRN schedule to help patients recover and improve speech, language, cognitive and swallowing abilities. You will assess, treat, and document care, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate treatment plans.

Requirements include a Master’s in Speech Language Pathology, CCC-SLP, 12+ months experience with acute or rehab populations, FL licensure, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology is required.
  • CCC-SLP certification is required.
  • Minimum of twelve months speech-language pathology experience with acute or rehab populations.
  • Current and unrestricted FL Speech Language Pathologist license.
  • Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive and swallowing abilities.
  • Assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Educate patients and families regarding therapy goals.
  • Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams on care coordination.

Education

  • Assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy goals.
  • Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams on care coordination.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for
  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Must have Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Minimum of twelve months speech therapist / speech language pathologist experience working with an acute or rehab population
  • Current and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of FL
  • Current CPR certification
