Facility Name: Ascension St. Joseph- Joliet

Setting: Inpatient Acute Rehab

Job Type: PRN

City/State: Joliet, IL

What you will do in this role:
  • Help patients recover and improve their speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities through therapy.
  • Communicate patient progress or issues to supervisors and team members; assist with scheduling and post charges daily to patient records.
  • Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
  • Instruct patients' families or nursing staff in follow-up programs.
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
  • Handle responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, professional standards, and applicable laws.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a master’s level program in Speech Language Pathology accredited by the Education Standards Board or meeting ASHA certification requirements.
  • Meet the education and experience requirements for Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology by ASHA.
  • Minimum of six months experience working with adult and geriatric populations.
  • Current and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where services are rendered.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Hourly range: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour.
