What you will do in this role:

1. Perform patient assessments.
2. Provide care in accordance with physician’s orders and established plan of care.
3. Assess the effectiveness of treatment and modify treatment to achieve goals.
4. Plan for patient discharge and communicate with the patient, family, caregivers, significant others, and healthcare team members to achieve rehabilitation goals and promote maximum benefits of care.
5. Participate in performance improvement and program development activities.
6. Contribute to the budgetary planning process, enhancing the cost-effectiveness of departmental services.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or similar field acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Possess or be eligible for a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state.
• Current Basic Life Support/CPR card (AHA required).
