What you will do in this role:

• Assist patients in recovering and improving their speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities through therapy
• Communicate patient progress or issues to supervisors and team members; assist with scheduling and posting charges to patient records
• Document patient care in compliance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accreditation standards
• Instruct patients’ families or nursing staff on follow-up programs
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe, clean condition
• Perform responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, Compliance policies, professional standards, and applicable laws
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited master’s program in Speech-Language Pathology meeting ASHA certification requirements
• Meet education and experience criteria for ASHA’s Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology
• At least six months of experience working with adult and geriatric populations as a speech therapist or speech-language pathologist
• Current, unrestricted Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of practice
• Current CPR certification
• Strong organizational and communication skills
