Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

  • Perform patient assessments.
  • Establish a plan of care.
  • Provide care in accordance with physician’s orders and established plan of care.
  • Assess the effectiveness of treatment and modify as needed.
  • Plan for patient discharge and communicate with patient, family, caregivers, and healthcare team to achieve rehabilitation goals.
  • Participate in performance improvement and program development activities.
  • Contribute to budgetary planning, enhancing cost-effectiveness.
  • Assess educational needs and provide education to meet those needs.
  • Ensure a safe environment, assess risks, and implement safety precautions.
  • Use leadership skills to delegate, organize, and educate staff, including interns, students, and volunteers.
  • Participate in quality improvement processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Speech-Language Pathology or related fields acceptable to ASHA.
  • Possess or be eligible for a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA or be eligible for ASHA Clinical Fellow (CFY).
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
