Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a school-based speech-language pathologist for a contract assignment near Elgin, IL. The role emphasizes collaboration to support student communication skills and educational outcomes.

You will conduct assessments, develop IEPs, provide direct therapy, and coordinate with teachers, parents, and other specialists. Active state licensure is required; CCC-SLP is preferred, CFY candidates will be considered.

Qualifications

  • Current state licensure as an SLP.
  • CCC-SLP preferred, CFY candidates considered.
  • Familiarity with IEP procedures in education.
  • Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students across grade levels.
  • Develop and implement IEPs based on evaluation data.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, individually and in groups.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Maintain accurate records, progress reports and required documentation.
  • Attend meetings and contribute expertise to interventions.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but CFY candidates will be considered
  • Familiarity with IEP procedures and documentation in an educational setting
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in schools preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply
