Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
  • Valid Illinois SLP license or eligibility to obtain.
  • ASHA CCCs eligible; CFY encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in school settings preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
  • Comfortable applying evidence-based practices for diverse students.
  • Experience with virtual therapy (voco) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate students using appropriate speech and language assessment tools.
  • Develop and implement IEPs per district and state guidelines.
  • Deliver engaging therapy addressing speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, psychologists, and parents to support progress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and professional development.

Job description

Make a difference in the lives of students by providing high-quality speech and language services in a supportive school environment near Chicago, IL. This part-time contract opportunity allows you to deliver impactful interventions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teamswhile enjoying a flexible, three-day-per-week schedule. August interviews are open to candidates interested in both onsite and virtual/voco SLP roles.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
  • Valid SLP license for the state of Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Holds or is eligible for ASHA CCCs; Clinical Fellows (CFY) are encouraged to apply
  • Experience working within school settings preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Comfortable applying evidence-based practices for a diverse student population
  • Technologically adept for virtual (voco) therapy, if interested
Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate students using appropriate speech and language assessment tools
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with district and state guidelines
  • Deliver engaging, goal-focused therapy to address speech, language, and communication needs
  • Work closely with teachers, psychologists, and parents to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and progress reports
  • Participate in IEP meetings and professional development, supporting best practices in speech pathology

Compensation for this position ranges from $36.40 to $66.40.
