Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for an 8-week contract in Powell, TN. The role involves evaluating patients, designing and adjusting treatment plans, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to facilitate safe discharge.

Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, managing individual and group sessions, documenting care, supervising students, and engaging in ongoing professional development and community advocacy.

Qualifications

  • State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • CCC-SLP certification from ASHA is required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • One or more years of clinical experience.
  • FEES certification required.

Speech Language Pathologist
Schedule

Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day.

Assignment Duration

This is an 8-week contract position starting around mid to end of September.

Job Description

The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for evaluating assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans according to patients' needs and physician direction. The role demands a commitment to maintaining professional standards, patient safety, and compliance with organizational policies.

Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
  • Utilize clinical reasoning for developing appropriate treatment plans focused on patient progress toward discharge.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to address barriers to discharge, including equipment trials and family training.
  • Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions effectively.
  • Document all patient care accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to standards and guidelines.
  • Participate in student program activities, providing supervision and support as needed.
  • Engage in professional development and advocacy efforts within the community.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association.
  • BLS Certification.
  • One or more years of clinical experience.
  • FEES Certification required.
