ARMStaffing is seeking a Speech Therapist in Mauston, WI for a 13-week assignment. Schedule is full-time, Mon-Fri, 7:30am–4:00pm, with start on 11/02/2026 and end on 02/01/2027.

The role focuses on assessing and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders to help patients communicate and swallow safely. Responsibilities include direct patient care, documentation, insurance communications, staff education, and collaboration with other healthcare providers.

• Speech Therapist licensed and qualified to assess and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

• Complete patient documentation, including initial evaluations, plans of care, progress reports, and discharge reports.
• Contact insurance companies regarding benefits.
• Prepare for evaluation and treatment sessions.
• Provide education to staff regarding results and recommendations.
• Create in-service presentations and educational opportunities for staff.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to provide patient-centered treatment.
• Clean treatment rooms following sessions.
• Provide reminder calls to patients.
• Aid patients and families in navigating the hospital.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Job Description

The Speech Therapist position assesses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in order to help individuals enhance their ability to communicate and swallow safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care: assess and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Complete patient documentation, including initial evaluations, plans of care, progress reports, and discharge reports.
• Contact insurance companies regarding benefits.
• Prepare for evaluation and treatment sessions.
• Provide education to staff, including nurses, physicians, dietitians, and food service workers, regarding results and recommendations following evaluations and providing guidance based on the most up-to-date research.
• Create in-service presentations and educational opportunities for staff.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers in order to provide patient-centered treatment.
• Clean treatment rooms following sessions.
• Provide reminder calls to patients.
• Aid patients and families in navigating the hospital.
• Perform other duties as requested.
