Job summary

BrightSpring Health Services is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Upper Marlboro, MD. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to provide one-on-one care, making a lasting impact on patients.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology, have at least one year of experience, and possess a current license. You'll work independently while receiving team support and benefit from various perks including medical, dental and vision insurance.

Qualifications

• Must have a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current unrestricted license to practice.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist, You will:

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient’s response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations

Salary Range

USD $1.00 - $50.00 / Hour
