Responsibilities

The SLP evaluates and provides skilled speech-language therapy to patients in a home setting, including single or multi-family homes, assisted living, independent living, or memory care. Treatment includes addressing language impairments, motor speech disorders, dysphagia, cognitive communication difficulties, voice disorders, and augmentative communication needs. Many patients have experienced strokes or have progressive diseases like Parkinson’s or dementia.

Qualifications

• Valid state driver’s license
• Automobile liability insurance
• Dependable transportation in good condition
• Ability to drive in all weather conditions
• Licensed as an SLP in the state of employment
