Job summary

Ultimate Therapy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join the rehabilitation team at Autumn Lake at Cherry Lane in Laurel, MD. CFY opportunities are available, making this an excellent option for both experienced SLPs and new graduates ready to begin their professional careers.

The role involves evaluating residents, developing treatment plans, and providing interventions addressing speech, swallowing, and cognition, with multidisciplinary collaboration and strong documentation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Active Maryland SLP license or eligibility to complete a Clinical Fellowship (CFY) in Maryland.
• Strong communication, clinical, and organizational skills.
• Experience with skilled nursing or post-acute rehab is preferred but not required.
• Clinical Fellows and new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and functional goals.
• Provide skilled interventions addressing communication, cognition, and dysphagia.
• Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment approaches as appropriate.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on strategies that support continued progress.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with OT, PT, nursing, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
