Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is actively seeking a Full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered for this position.

The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree from an accredited SLP program and a current New York State SLP license, with preferred experience in geriatrics. Join our collaborative team and provide high-quality care to residents in Schenectady, NY.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited SLP program.
• Current New York State SLP license.
• Experience in SNF or geriatric care preferred; new grads welcome with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer Speech Therapy evaluations and examinations; develop treatment plans.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatments as needed.
• Record initial evaluation, treatment, progress, and discharge notes.
• Observe and prepare detailed reports; monitor confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain cooperative relationships within the healthcare team and ensure compliance with laws and standards.

Sigma Health Rehabis actively seeking a Full-timeSpeech Language Pathologist (SLP) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility.

SLP Requirements Include:

A graduate of an accredited SLP Program

Current New York State SLP License

Experience in a skilled nursing or geriatric care setting is preferred, but new graduates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply

Key Responsibilities:

Administer Speech Therapy evaluations & examinations to diagnose residents & develop treatment plans.

Monitor residents' progress and adjust treatments accordingly.

Record information on the initial evaluation, treatment, progress, and discharge of clients.

Observe and assess the progress & prepare detailed reports.

Maintain resident confidence by monitoring confidential information processing.

Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, or standards.

Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members
