Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab in Argyle, NY is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our skilled nursing facility team. The role focuses on evaluating residents, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapy to improve communication and swallowing functions.

Ideal candidates hold a NY SLP license, have completed an accredited program, and are comfortable working in a geriatric setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited SLP program.
• Current New York State SLP license.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or geriatric care setting preferred; new grads welcome.

Responsibilities

• Administer Speech Therapy evaluations and examinations to diagnose residents and develop treatment plans.
• Monitor residents' progress and adjust treatments accordingly.
• Record information on initial evaluation, treatment, progress, and discharge of clients.

Sigma Health Rehab is actively seeking a Full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility.

SLP Requirements Include:

• A graduate of an accredited SLP Program
• Current New York State SLP License
• Experience in a skilled nursing or geriatric care setting is preferred, but new graduates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer Speech Therapy evaluations & examinations to diagnose residents & develop treatment plans.
• Monitor residents' progress and adjust treatments accordingly.
• Record information on the initial evaluation, treatment, progress, and discharge of clients.
• Observe and assess the progress & prepare detailed reports.
• Maintain resident confidence by monitoring confidential information processing.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, or standards.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members
