Job summary

Edisto Post-Acute in Orangeburg, SC, is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. You will create individualized plans and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and families to support resident independence and safety.

The role requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, state licensure, and strong communication skills; CCC-SLP is preferred and CFYs are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology; Masters/Doctorate preferred.
• Licensed as a Speech Therapist in the state.
• CCC-SLP preferred; CFYs encouraged.
• Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and heart for serving others.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Create individualized treatment plans to reach independence.
• Assess and manage swallowing disorders for safe nutrition and hydration.
• Partner with physicians, nursing staff, therapy colleagues, and families to provide resident-centered care.
• Complete timely documentation while ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Encourage, motivate, and celebrate milestones.
