Job summary

Manresa Healthcare Center in Watsonville, CA is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to assess, treat, and support residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. This role collaborates with the rehabilitation team to improve residents’ communication, safety, and overall quality of life.

We offer competitive pay ranging from $55.00 to $70.00 per hour, with full-time, part-time, PRN and per diem schedules.

Qualifications

• Active California SLP license in good standing.
• Master’s or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology.
• CFY candidates welcome; experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings preferred.
• Knowledge of PDPM, Medicare, and SNF regulations.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork.
• Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech-language and swallowing evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy treatment plans.
• Document therapy sessions and resident progress accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and residents’ families.
• Participate in care planning and PDPM processes.
• Mentor and support Speech-Language Pathology assistants, as applicable.
