Job summary

Recover-Care seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders in a SNF setting. You will develop individualized treatment programs and work under physician supervision to support patient outcomes.

Qualified candidates hold a Master's or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology and a state license. Competence in documentation and collaboration with families is essential; travel may be required to provide patient care.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Speech Language Pathology required.
• State license as a Speech-Language Pathologist required.
• Experience with SNF population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, hearing, cognitive, or swallowing issues.
• Provide direct patient/resident treatment under physician direction.
• Develop care plans and rehabilitative programs to restore communication and swallowing abilities.
• Administer, score, and interpret hearing and speech tests.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers to practice skills at home.
• Maintain accurate patient records and complete required forms.
• Willingness to travel as needed to perform job.

Job Summary:

The Speech Pathologist will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech or language disorders, formulate individualized treatment programs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, hearing, cognitive, or swallowing issues.
• Under a physician's direction, provides direct patient / resident treatment based on established plan of care.
• Screens and evaluates Resident and develops appropriate care plan
• Plans, directs, or conducts rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communicative efficiency of individuals with communication and / or swallowing or cognitive problems.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Instructs residents, families, and caregivers to monitor speech and provide ways to practice new skills.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
• Maintains patient records in an accurate and timely manner.
• Devises special tools and treatments for the specific needs of patients.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited Masters, or Doctorate in Speech language Pathology.
• State license as a speech pathologist required.
• Proficiency with all applicable state, federal, and professional standards

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
