Job summary

Recover-Care is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans under physician supervision and ensure documentation compliance.

Requirements include a Master’s or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology and an active state license. Travel to SNF facilities may be required as part of patient care and coordination with care teams.

Qualifications

• Must hold a state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Knowledge of SNF population care standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing issues.
• Provide direct patient care under physician direction based on a plan of care.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Administer and interpret specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on practice of new skills.

Job Summary:

The Speech Pathologist will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech or language disorders, formulate individualized treatment programs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, hearing, cognitive, or swallowing issues.
• Under a physician's direction, provides direct patient / resident treatment based on established plan of care.
• Screens and evaluates Resident and develops appropriate care plan
• Plans, directs, or conducts rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communicative efficiency of individuals with communication and / or swallowing or cognitive problems.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Instructs residents, families, and caregivers to monitor speech and provide ways to practice new skills.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
• Maintains patient records in an accurate and timely manner.
• Devises special tools and treatments for the specific needs of patients.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited Masters, or Doctorate in Speech language Pathology.
• State license as a speech pathologist required.
• Proficiency with all applicable state, federal, and professional standards

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
