  • Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Screen, evaluate, and diagnose speech/language disorders and determine student eligibility for enrollment in the speech/language program.
  • Develop goals, objectives, methods, and materials to assist students in achieving their highest potential.
  • Ensure correct implementation of the students’ IEP goals and objectives.
  • Provides speech/language services in full compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain student records in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.
  • Create an instructional environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
  • Establish and communicate to students and parents clear and appropriate rules and consequences for student behavior and enforces rules in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Consult with principals, clinicians, teachers, parents, and other agencies, as needed.
  • Strive to maintain and improve professional competency.
  • Attend school and district staff meetings and serve on committees, as required.
  • Participate in staff development programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal and the Director of Special Services
