Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have current and active license with the state of New York
• Experience in long-term care or related setting preferred
• Experience holding CCCs prior to CFY supervision preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative therapy to patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
• Document clinical measures and justify continued or discontinued services.
• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation Services and collaborate with the therapy team.

Job Description

The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for providing rehabilitative therapy to patients upon referral for communication, cognitive, and/or swallowing disorders following all regulatory and clinical practice requirements. This includes recovery, improvement in function, and, when possible, a return to a prior level of functioning. Clinical documentation will describe objective measures and justification for continued or discontinued services.

This position reports to the Director of Rehabilitation Services.

Job Requirements
