Job summary

TheraCare is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide direct services to infants and toddlers in home and community settings across Staten Island, NY. You will assess, diagnose and treat speech and language delays, create individualized treatment plans, and coach families to support carryover and communication development while adhering to NYC EI guidelines.

Required qualifications include NYS SLP license, CCC-SLP or CFY with supervision, a Master’s degree, and pediatric

Qualifications

• Current NYS Speech-Language Pathologist license.
• ASHA CCC-SLP or CFY status with supervision available.
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• At least one year of experience working with pediatrics.
• Strong communication, time management, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language therapy to children ages 0–3.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with IFSP goals.
• Educate and coach families to support generalization and developmental growth.
• Document all sessions and progress according to NYC EI guidelines.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team collaboration.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical records and reports.

Our mission is to support children from birth to age 3 with communication delays and developmental needs through compassionate, evidence-based care. We are seeking Speech Language Pathologists to deliver therapy in home and community-based settings.

Position Overview

As an SLP with TheraCare, you will provide direct services to infants and toddlers in their natural environments. You’ll assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language delays, create individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with families to support carryover and communication development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide speech-language therapy to children ages 0–3
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with IFSP goals
• Educate and coach families to support generalization and developmental growth
• Document all sessions and progress according to NYC EI guidelines
• Participate in interdisciplinary team collaboration
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical records and reports

Qualifications:

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to travel to clients’ homes throughout the assigned borough
• Hand dexterity ability (ability to operate mobile device, smart phone, computer)

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
