Job summary

Woodfords Family Services is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our ECS and SPPS programs in Maine. The role starts at the Waterville school and will transition mid-year to the Manchester campus, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for eligible candidates.

As an SLP, you’ll support PreK–5th grade learners in a therapeutic, collaboration-driven setting, conducting evaluations, developing care plans, and aligning with a multidisciplinary team to deliver

Qualifications

  • Must hold a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders.
  • Must possess good organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, on-site speech-language therapy to a caseload of students.
  • Conduct speech and language evaluations for initial placement and ongoing progress monitoring.
  • Develop individualized Plans of Care, quarterly progress reports, and discharge summaries.
  • Participate in IEP, IFSP, and family meetings as scheduled or required.
  • Collaborate with Behavior Analysts, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and Teaching Staff to deliver cohesive programming.
  • Provide training to teaching staff around speech and communication goals.

Woodfords is growing an seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Early Childhood Services (ECS) and Special Purpose Private School (SPPS) programs. This position will begin at our Waterville school and transition mid-year to our newly constructed Manchester campus, thoughtfully designed to support therapeutic, collaborative programming for students across ages and developmental needs.

To support this transition, this role includes a $2,500 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for eligible candidates.

Position Summary

Woodfords' ECS and SPPS programs serve learners PreK–5th grade diagnosed with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Services are delivered in a therapeutic, treatment-based educational environment, where interdisciplinary collaboration is central to student success.

As the SLP, you’ll play a vital role in helping students build communication skills, confidence, and meaningful connections—while working alongside a highly supportive clinical and educational team.

The Speech Therapist will provide direct (on-site) speech therapy services to a case load of students and assist the program in completing the following:

Opportunity Details

  • Full-time, center-based position
  • Monday-Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm
  • $70,400 - $85,000 per year
  • $2,500 Sign-on Bonus + Relocation assistance eligibility!
