Job summary

LLA Therapy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide school-based therapy in Northeast Ohio. The role focuses on developing individualized goals, delivering ongoing treatment, and collaborating with educators and families to support student progress.

You will conduct evaluations, write IEP goals, and participate in ETR/IEP meetings, while maintaining accurate documentation and meeting school deadlines. Ohio licensure and certification are required.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • Current Ohio licensure to practice SLP.
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • Proficient in English; reading, writing and speaking.
  • FBI and BCI background checks required.
  • Ohio Department of Education Certification (can be completed on hire).
  • Professional Liability Insurance recommended by governing body.
  • Positive, goal-oriented, and able to work with others.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced school environment.
  • Compatible with company culture and core values.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing treatment to assigned caseload.
  • Document, monitor, analyze, and report students’ progress and effects of treatment regularly in conjunction with school deadlines and procedures.
  • Conduct educationally relevant evaluations and report findings within Evaluation Team Reports (ETRs).
  • Write educationally relevant therapy goals and relevant student information background information within Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs).
  • Attend and report evaluations findings and therapy recommendations in family friendly language during IEP and ETR meetings.
  • Contribute to building a positive, supportive, and learning culture through collaboration and ongoing communication between school personnel and families.
  • Maintenance and documentation of ongoing therapy minutes and report due-dates.
  • Complete necessary Medicaid billing in conjunction with school deadlines and procedures.

Essential Accountabilities for the Speech-Language Pathologist

Requirements
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Current licensure to practice Speech Language Therapy within the state of Ohio
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • Must be proficient in English; reading, comprehending and understanding the English language.
  • Pass an FBI and BCI background check (can be completed upon hire)
  • Current Ohio Department of Education Certification (can be completed upon hire)
  • Professional Liability Insurance, recommended by governing body.
  • Positive and goal oriented, willing to accept the challenge of new assignments and be able to work well with others.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on teamwork, customer service, and safe working practices.
  • Must be able to handle stressful situations.
