Job summary

Woodland Grove Health and Rehab in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The SLP will work to recover patients' speech, language, swallowing and cognitive function, delivering individualized therapy plans in a Skilled Nursing setting.

• Current Speech Language Pathologist license in the state.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least 3 years of Skilled Nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create, administer, and organize individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Instruct clients in communication techniques including sign language, lip reading, and voice improvement.
• Educate patients and family members about communication strategies and coping methods.
• Coordinate with dietary to plan rehabilitative meals for swallowing difficulties.

Speech Language Pathologist Position Description

The Speech Pathologist is responsible for facilitating the recovery of speech, language, swallowing and cognitive function for the patients who come through our facility.

Requirements of the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

• Current Speech Language Pathologist License in current state.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least 3 years of Skilled Nursing experience preferred.
