Job summary

Woodland Grove Health and Rehab in Florida is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The role focuses on facilitating recovery of speech, language, swallowing and cognitive function for patients in our facility.

We offer a $5,000 sign-on bonus, full-time shift, and benefits including health/dental/vision/life insurance, paid time off, a 401K, continuing education credits, and supportive management. CPR certification and Florida SLP license are required.

Qualifications

• Current Speech Language Pathologist license in Florida.
• CPR certification is required.
• At least 3 years of Skilled Nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create, administer, and organize individualized treatment plans.
• Instruct clients in communication techniques including sign language and lip reading.
• Educate patients and families about communication strategies.
• Coordinate with dietary for rehabilitation meals for swallow dysfunctions.

Speech Language Pathologist Position Description

The Speech Pathologist is responsible for facilitating the recovery of speech, language, swallowing and cognitive function for the patients who come through our facility.

Requirements of the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP):

• Current Speech Language Pathologist License in current state.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least 3 years of Skilled Nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities of the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP):

• Creating, administering, and organizing individualized plans of treatment for patients.
• Instructing clients in techniques for more effective communication, including sign language, lip reading and voice improvement.
• Educating patients and family members about various topics such as communication techniques and strategies to cope with or to avoid personal misunderstandings.
• Communicating with the dietary department regarding rehabilitation lunches for patients with swallow dysfunctions.
