Job summary

Liberty POST is seeking a motivated Early Childhood Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for part-time and/or full-time employment to support children birth-5 through Early Intervention and Preschool Special Education programs in Western New York.

We provide evaluation, direct therapy, and family education in child-centered settings. Candidates must hold NYS Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology and have strong communication skills; driving may be required.

Qualifications

• Current New York State licensure in Speech-Language Pathology (or certification).
• Experience working with early childhood populations (birth-5) in EI/CPSE settings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, monitor, and track child progress; adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Assess child abilities and set realistic goals.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment in EMR accurately and timely.
• Write detailed analyses and reports.
• Maintain confidentiality of records and documentations.
• Adhere to EI and CPSE/CSE laws and regulations.

Liberty POST is currently seeking a motivated and energetic Early Childhood Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for part-time and/or full-time employment to work with children who are birth-5 years old through Early Intervention and Preschool Special Education programs. Immediate positions are available throughout Western New York.

Liberty POST has offered its clients a range of high-quality and individualized services since 1994. Backed by Liberty Resources Inc. and part of a large social services circle, originally POST was a speech-language practice in Syracuse NY and has grown to provide a range of services throughout New York State and Indiana. We employ over 500 professionals in a variety of settings and offer a collaborative team approach to provide evaluation, direct therapy, and family education through child-directed play. We are focused on the importance of a child’s natural learning environment, a family’s unique strengths and needs and the diverse population we serve.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, monitor and track child’s progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Test and evaluate child’s abilities to determine realistic goals.
• Record information on the initial evaluation, treatment, and progress in a timely manner using Electronic Medical Record system.
• Proficient at writing detailed analysis and reports.
• Effectively organize and maintain confidentially of child’s records and other documentations.
• Follow all state laws and regulations as it pertains to Early Intervention, CPSE/CSE special education.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:

• Current New York State Licensure and/or Certification in Speech Language Pathology
• Knowledge of MS Word and comfortable with working with computer systems
• Valid Driver’s License
• Early Childhood Experience
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
