Job summary

Liberty POST in Syracuse is seeking an energetic Early Childhood Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for part-time and/or full-time work with birth-5 years old through EI and CPSE/CSE programs. Immediate positions are available in Syracuse.

You will evaluate progress, write detailed analyses, and maintain confidential records using EMR, while collaborating with a team to support families in natural learning environments.

Qualifications

• Current New York State licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Experience working with birth-5 years through EI and CPSE/CSE programs.
• Proficiency with MS Word and EMR systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, monitor and adjust child progress and treatment plans.
• Test and evaluate abilities to determine goals.
• Record evaluations, treatment and progress in an EMR system.
• Prepare detailed analyses and reports.
• Maintain confidentiality of records and documents.
• Adhere to state laws related to Early Intervention and CPSE/CSE.

Job description

Liberty POST is currently seeking motivated and energetic Early Childhood Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for part-time and/or full-time employment to work with children who are birth-5 years old through Early Intervention and Preschool Special Education programs. Immediate positions are available throughout Syracuse.

Liberty POST has offered its clients a range of high-quality and individualized services since 1994. Backed by Liberty Resources Inc. and part of a large social services circle, originally POST was a speech-language practice in Syracuse NY and has grown to provide a range of services throughout New York State and Indiana. We employ over 500 professionals in a variety of settings and offer a collaborative team approach to provide evaluation, direct therapy, and family education through child-directed play. We are focused on the importance of a child’s natural learning environment, a family’s unique strengths and needs and the diverse population we serve.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, monitor and track child’s progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Test and evaluate child’s abilities to determine realistic goals.
• Record information on the initial evaluation, treatment, and progress in a timely manner using Electronic Medical Record system.
• Proficient at writing detailed analysis and reports.
• Effectively organize and maintain confidentially of child’s records and other documentations.
• Follow all state laws and regulations as it pertains to Early Intervention, CPSE/CSE special education.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:

• Current New York State Licensure and/or Certification in Speech Language Pathology
• Knowledge of MS Word and comfortable with working with computer systems
• Valid Driver’s License
• Early Childhood Experience
• Great interpersonal and communication skills

Pay Rate: EI

• 30 minutes: $44-$46
• 60 minutes: $58-$60
• Evaluation: $115-$120

Pay Rate: CPSE

• 30 minutes: $40-$45
• 60 minutes: $58-$60
• Evaluation: $115-$120
