Ultimate Therapy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time role at Autumn Lake at Riverview in Essex, MD. The position offers $43-$46 per hour with benefits.

In this skilled nursing setting, you will assess and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders, and collaborate with the care team to support residents’ goals and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist license.
• Clinical knowledge of adult communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
• Strong organization, communication, and documentation skills.
• Experience in skilled nursing or post-acute rehab is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.
• Establish treatment plans aligning with functional goals.
• Provide therapy for communication, cognition, memory, attention, and problem-solving.
• Treat swallowing disorders and coordinate with nursing/dietary teams.

What You'll Do

• Complete evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.
• Establish treatment plans that connect assessment findings with residents' functional goals.
• Provide therapy for expressing needs, understanding information, attention, memory, and everyday problem-solving.
• Treat swallowing disorders and share appropriate recommendations with nursing and dietary colleagues.
• Train residents and caregivers in practical techniques they can use beyond treatment sessions.
• Track progress, update clinical documentation, and collaborate on care planning and discharge needs.
