Job summary

Citadel Care Centers in Florida seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents with speech and language disorders in a Skilled Nursing Facility.

You will plan functional goals, deliver therapy as ordered, document progress, supervise CFYs per ASHA guidelines, and collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure quality care & compliance. Current Florida licensure and CCC or CFY eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Certificate of Clinical Competency or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year.
• Current Speech-Language Pathology licensure in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates residents/patients referred by physicians with a written order and develops a treatment program with functional long- and short-term goals.
• Delivers treatment as ordered by the attending physician and reviews progress with the physician to determine continuation or discontinuation of therapy.
• Maintains communications with physicians, documents progress and updates treatment plans as needed.
• Instructs, teaches and supervises residents/patients and family/caregivers regarding speech therapy procedures.
• Participates in staff development and in-service education activities.
• Supervises CFYs per ASHA guidelines.
• Adheres to applicable standards of care, ethics and facility policies.
• Meets productivity and utilization expectations and completes timely clinical documentation.
